The Sequence plugin functions as an activity module within Moodle, providing a mechanism for guiding learners through a prescribed path with the help of styled modal prompts. When a prerequisite activity has not been completed, the plugin intervenes by presenting a nudge in the form of a popup prompt. This approach encourages learners to complete necessary preliminary tasks before moving forward with their learning plan. Teachers have the ability to define a sequence of activities and associate each sequence with a specific trigger activity. Upon activation, Sequence monitors the completion tracking of these activities and persists with the customizable popup notifications until the required tasks are accomplished by the learner.
